A Southern treat sure to please. You can use whatever fruit paring you wish.
350° Oven 9” X 13” Pan
1 Roll Ready Made Sugar Cookies Sliced ¼ Inch
3 Tbsp Sweet Butter Melted
¾ Cup Sugar
2 Tsp Cinnamon
4 Cups Peaches Sliced
4 Lg Cups Blueberries
¼ Cup Corn Starch
1 Cup Orange Juice and
1Tbsp Orange Zest
2 Tbsp Finely Grated Fresh Ginger
2 Tbsp Brandy
1 Tsp Ground Ginger
½ Tsp Ground Cardamon
½ Tsp Grated Nutmeg
Heavy Cream to brush the crust for browning.
Slice the Chilled Cookie Dough
Prepare the fruit in a large bowl combine fruit, sugar and spices. Sprinkle on cornstarch and orange juice and mix well.
Place the berries in the bottom of a buttered 9” X 13” Pan. Place the cookie slices over the top in any way you prefer. Brush dough with cream.
Sprinkle the top with sugar and add cinnamon and sugar sprinkle to the dough. Bake at 350° Oven for 45 Minutes until bubbly and topping brown. Serve with ice cream.
